I’m Still Here…
With all I’ve been through,
I thank God, I’m still here.
I’ve loved, I’ve learned, I’ve laughed,
Had sorrow, shed many a’ tear.
I’ve gained much, lost plenty,
Things, precious and people, dear.
I’ve stood, I’ve stumbled,
Been dumbfounded, had fear.
I’ve been doubted, felt routed,
Had much to say, no one to hear.
I survived the good, bad, and ugly,
Battled my past toward a future, unclear.
Perhaps you could’ve done it better,
Being adept, in all things top tier.
But, God made us all unique.
That I can’t be you, you can’t be me, is clear.
As for me, a smile of grace upon my face,
Knowing my God’s mercy is ever near,
All I know is with all I’ve been through,
I just thank God, that I’m still here.

O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. Ps. 30:3
