Ode to My Savior
Coming out of the darkness
That is of my past
I follow the light
Is it freedom at last?
Ililumnation directs me
Darkness slowly become lighter
Hearing the words
Come on you're a fighter!
My fears start to leave me
My soul grows less weary
My Savior stands strong
At the end of my tunnel
Beckoning me on
Gently saying come! come!
I emerge in the beauty of his gentle love
To a forest of greenery
And mountains above
I know I have made it
For at once I feel free
Jesus has found me
And will never leave
I can see myself
As I stand in His light
His spirit shines through me
It's a beautiful sight
My Savior has delivered me
Time and time again
He is my salvation
For time without end
I walk by his side
As He gently says
I will never leave you
I am with you always
