Across the ocean,
Between the borders,
Caught in exploration,
Diseases occupied,
Evil long and dark gave wandering souls no release.
Feral were the captains,
Grieving captives,
Helpless all,
Immense dangers,
Justice silent amongst the drive for riches.
Kings and queens,
Less was greater,
Motherland tearful,
Nearly all participated,
Open gates closed the door for developing countries.
Peculiar people,
Quickly rose,
Resilience vibrated,
Strength inevitable,
Tenacity to survive the barbaric systems set in place.
Unequal societies,
Vicious surroundings,
Weeping echoed,
X the mark for the unknown,
Young and old... the strength and wisdom of the people,
Zealous for freedom.
Psalm 137:4
How can we sing the songs of the LORD while in a foreign land?
