Faith
The Faith of a Little Child
Matthew 10:15 Verily I say unto you, whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
Timothy 3:15 And that from a child, thou hast known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation, through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
This was stated of Timothy, and gives a little light on the why of his faith. He knew the Scriptures, and God’s Promises, and believed them.
The story is told of a very young child who had to sleep in a rat infested room in a very poorly furnished house. She was so frightened by the rats that she prayed for Jesus to please take the rats away. At that moment, a cat came in the door that had been left open just a crack. The cat chased all of the rats away and the child drifted off into a peaceful sleep. That is true faith, and there are many examples of people who attained that faith.
You might say, “But I am in unbelievable circumstances right now, how can I achieve that kind of faith?” Look back at our Scripture. This is what God expects of his children. Some of the greatest Bible characters came from circumstances that would be mountains to us, but as they followed God, He gave them the strength of the faith of a child.
Here are some examples:
Genesis 28:11 Jacob had only stones for a pillow and after a meeting with God in a dream, by which God blessed Him, he turned the stones into a place to worship God.
Exodus 3:1-4 Moses was in the backside of a lonely desert place when he saw the bush burning that was not consumed. He approached, and God spoke to him and told him that he was chosen by God to lead His people (Israel) out of a place where they were servants and had hard taskmasters. Moses spent 40 years in the wilderness with these unruly people and clung to his faith, and was able to view the Promised Land.
I Samuel 17 A beautiful story of how a young boy, named David, killed the giant who had the army of Israel trembling. David had strong faith, and killed the giant with a sling shot. The men of the army all had spears and were fearful to meet the challenge.
Acts 7: Stephen saw Jesus during the process of being stoned to death and he never forsook Christ.
Hebrews 2:10 Jesus Himself was made perfect through sufferings. No greater suffering than being beaten, spit upon, and crucified, and He did it all for me.
There are many other examples, but with the unwavering faith of a child, we can be conquerors of our circumstances in life. Accept trials as your road to greatness. We may never reach a throne or kill a giant, but with that Faith, we will attain the most beautiful home that we could imagine. Our trials are for a short time compared to eternity. Some of the most faithful people I have had the privilege to meet, have the most faith and love for God and yet have been through great trials. The earth is just a testing ground. Let us all be faithful, and live our lives for the One who died for us.

Amen. Let us all have the faith of the child and trust and obey the Lord faithfully. Thanks for helping us keep our focus on God. (One thing you might say is "Moses was able to view the Promised Land even though he wasn't allowed to enter it." Only a suggestion)
thanks for the booster shot!
