Let me reiterate I HATE THIS THING CALLED DEATH especially with the recent passing of two family members. It stings, crushes, breaks down, produces uncertainties and speaks of an immeasurable amount of tears. My pastor once said that if he had his choice he'd skip the entire pregnancy and labor part and go straight to the hugging, kissing and playing with the baby part. Well if I had my choose I'd bypass the hurting and despair part of losing a loved one and get right to the feeling better and smiling part.
In John 16:33 Jesus told His disciples that here on earth they'd have many trials and sorrows. Boy was He right! Even though we may be subject to an incalculable amount of tribulation, heartache, anguish and or affliction it's comforting to know that when this life is over there will be no more mourning, crying (for every tear will be wiped away), pain, sorrow or death because all of those things will be gone forever (Revelation 21:4). Praise God that none of those things will follow us to our final destination, heaven.
The death of a loved one is just like a big open sore-with each passing day they both get a little better.
