Dear Lord, are the signs already here?
We behold as they stare us in the face;
Awful and fearful the indicators are,
Our faith is tried and it’s only by grace.
Killing and maiming is the order of the day,
Many a Cain shedding the blood of Abel;
Wars! Internal, External; diverse Rumors!
Perhaps for our sins, we are made to pay.
Indeed the times we are at are perilous.
The experience for many is hell on earth;
Flagrant abuse of our God given dominion,
Surely attracts the creator’s ire and wrath.
The father, Son and Spirit is perfect union.
The earth cries and must adjust to the rape!
Over-grazing, deforestation, over-farming;
The aftermaths may be without escape.
Over-dredging and land reclamation;
Tornados, hurricanes, Tsunamis, Storms,
Industrial smog pollution and harmful gases;
The ozone layer depletes and earth warms.
Earthquakes, avalanche and Volcanic ashes;
In greater, quicker frequency and succession,
As thunder follows the visible lightening;
God’s mighty hand still guides the vast universe,
Physical and spiritual sins not withstanding;
Lord, Let your mercy continue to endure.
Before a finality that can only be postponed.
Only the Father in heaven knows the hour.
