I remember in my early years at school in the annual sports event a boy who came first was not given the prize for reason that even though he ran well enough to come first, he had actually changed his track while running. He started in a particular track however finished in another and thus was disqualified.
"You ran well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth? " Galatians 5:7 (NKJV)
We might be a swift runner, however we must be very particular about our destination and the track we are taking to reach there.
Paul mentions about the good running, however also warns about disobeying the truth.
Life is a wonderful race and daily we are running, running towards our goal, a day will come when our time period on this earth will expire and our running will come to a halt, then shall be checked where we have reached and in whose track we were running, we should not be surprised at that moment, we should also not be ashamed, rather with great pride and joy we should be ready to receive our reward if we have run the race as per the Lord's will in our life.
We still have time, even though I don't know how much to reassess our ways, to carefully examine where we are heading to in our life.
Paul wonderfully mentions his race in thus manner :-
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7-8 (NKJV)
Can we say the same about us too? are we confident to receive the crown of glory from the Lord?
Today is again a new day to run, let is not be in the wrong track, to the wrong destination, but lets move into the track which leads to the crown, let's run in Jesus.
God Bless,
Abraham
