There are places I've never been
And things I may never do.
Though, I might not possess all the world has to offer,
This one thing I know, is the truth.
I am contented and peaceful.
Blessed beyond measure and able to say,
"God is good and He provides my needs!"
So, I rest easy, at the end of the day.
In the world, there are those with great comforts
But there are also those who go to sleep; hungry at night.
The whole world over, people are fearful and hurting.
And their hearts are failing from the fright.
But, I am contented and peaceful.
Blessed beyond measure and able to say,
"God is good and He provides my needs!"
So, I rest easy, at the end of the day.
Counting my blessings and praising my God.
I give Him the glory for all.
He is my comfort, my hope and my rock.
In Him, I rest easy, at the end of the day.
In man's eyes, I have not attained greatness.
I may never know fortune or fame.
I am just one soul, in the vast sea of humanity.
The world does not know my name.
Still, I am contented and peaceful.
Blessed beyond measure and able to say,
"God has been good and provided my needs!"
So, I rest easy, at the end of the day.
Counting my blessings and praising my God.
