Woman 1: whore or winner?
She’s sprawled across the floor like a wild beast
The dirty sheets
Were barely enough to cover her shame
The bruises and wounds all over her body did little to tell her story
“How could this be?” She asks herself
“I’m not the only adulterer in town,
Lord this is unfair: maybe its time
I pay for my sins”
Around her was a self-righeous mob
With stones set for the kill
She shut her eyes for what may be her last moment.
Perhaps peace with God was possible
She takes in a deep breath (her last probably)
And shuts her eyes as the final tears flow…
But suddenly an air of serenity
Took the place of an angry self righteous mob
When she opened her eyes the tears vanished
As a lovely savior looked into her eyes, just to say:
“ Woman were are those accusers of yours? has no one condemned you? … Neither do I condemn you…” John 8 : 10 –11
Woman 2: Saint Or Sinner?
She was the topic of frequent gossips
Her sins were much more than she could bear
To the people she was ‘the sinner’
Unworthy to stand amongst decent folks
Lest her filth rub off on them
She walks into the room covered by the
Shame of her life style
But if she could just get close enough
If she could meet the savior
She had nothing of value
Except her heart and tears
So the poured it all at the feet of the master
With her hair she wiped his feet
The self-righteous looked on with contempt
‘How dare, she touch the savior?’
But the lovely savior looked
Into her eyes just to say
‘… Your sins are forgiven.’
