"The nile not far fetched,
where civilization began,
long before the colonies sojourned here,
from the north,east,west and south,
our pride lies in our many tribes,
and our richly blessed soil,
yet some antagonist pronounce us to be wretched,
as some third world ephemeral being,
sad how famine,war and apartheid,
have drawn us backwards,
God's first owm people,
our adversary have affliced our potentials,
the tools are 'dirty politics' and 'ethnic lies',
but we believe there is a dawn,
our native gods are not asleep,
and should they be,
we are religiously and spiritually rooted deep,
when the wicked Harrod stretched his ly swords,
our 'saviour' found sanctuary in our land.
Do not look back!
Waste not. Oh fertile land.
Hold strongly to your kindness,
political locust have become tired,
We have conquered!
ye, possess a rich heritage,
move ahead from this poerty mentality.
But because our tradition and culture runs deep,
many unidentified enemies desired us not to sleep,
they discovered our buried treasures,
and cleverly stole our arts with pleasure,
"Here a mirrow! Gift from her majesty."
'What did we see?'
Our faces are colourful...indeed.
Lo! Behind the the mask,
and the diplomatic smiles,
Our people were d in chains.
...Ensalved for decades.
Those dark days still-haunt our hearts.
Are we free from debt?
our posterity has almost been mongaged.
Wise up! Rise Up!
Lament no more how we entered this night mare.
Such paradise of empty promises,
tremble not, nor be intimidated,
our lord never cursed our tree,
wipe off the tears of the wasted years,
for head or tail,
we shall win,
other land could not achieve
until the 'great creator' allowed our land to be dicovered!
