Each year there are over 200,000 deaths resulting from prescription drugs. This outnumbers the amount of people killed each year from automobile deaths.
Many of these deaths result from respiratory depressants which make it difficult to breath such as anti-anxiety drugs mixed with anti-psychotic drugs. Thus wrong drug combinations along with overdoses can and do lead to serious and fatal illnesses.
One reason middle age people are experiencing drug related deaths is because of chronic pain, operations and on the job injuries. Work place injuries cause dependencies on drugs since they help alleviate pain resulting from those injuries. The same goes for chronic pain as the body ages and begins to wear out. Sometimes deaths occur when taking prescription drugs because people take their doses too closely together.
Other reasons for death include drug combinations given by different physicians who are not in close communication. If a patient is seeing more than one physician and these physicians are not in close communication the patient may be getting a deadly combination of drugs or a lethal dosage. This may have been the reason for actor Heath Ledger's death in 2008.
Below is a partial list of drugs that have been linked to the side effects listed. This list is a subset of all drugs for which serious side effects have been reported. Consult with your physician concerning the side effects of every drug you are prescribed and, in particular, of the following:
The drug Amiodarone was used on my cousin Rick Overall to treat an irregular heart beat and was probably given in the wrong dosage. He died an untimely death in 2010 as a result of malpractice at the hands of an incompetent doctor. Unfortunately doctors often get away with malpractice because
a family member is not able to prevail against the medical establishment and their top notch attorneys.
Beware of the below listed drugs. I advise against them.
Amiodarone- used to treat and prevent certain types of serious, life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias (a certain type of abnormal heart rhythm when other medications did not help or could not be tolerated. Amiodarone is in a class of medications called antiarrhythmics. It works by relaxing overactive heart muscles.
Amiodarone may cause lung damage that can be serious or life-threatening.Tell your doctor if you have or have ever had any type of lung disease or if you have ever developed lung damage or breathing problems while taking amiodarone. If you experience any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately: fever, shortness of breath, wheezing, other breathing problems, cough, or coughing or spitting up blood.

In summary I would advise against taking most prescription drugs since they are synthetic creations of both chemicals and herbs and opt for the safer, natural solution such as herbs or enzyme or vitamin and mineral therapy. This may mean finding a doctor who practices unconventional medicine such as naturopathy.
Herbs are safe when taken properly and they are God's answer for good health and treatment of many illnesses and compromised body systems.
"And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for food." Genesis 1:29
