One doesn't have to know very much to realize that times are getting tough all around the world. No matter what one's position is politically, or whether a Christian or atheist, the world is in for a wild ride. What would you do if a goverment leader asks you to deny Christ or be executed? Or the family has to live "underground" to avoid being discovered? Or you would not be able to buy or sell unless you deny Christ? Or you face a guillotine to be beheaded for not denying Christ?
The time is rapidly approaching and to some degree is already here, when people must know what they believe and why they believe it. There will be no more playing church or religion. No more professing to be a Christian but acting just the opposite. Whether a person is pre, mid, or post-tribulation rapture won't be an issue any longer. You know, the pre-trib are the people who believe that true believers will be taken out of the world before things get this bad. The only thing that will really matter is whether you are for Jesus Christ or against Him.
I am not a prophecy expert but I have followed it my entire life. I am not a doomsday prophet nor a date-setter, but any serious student of the Bible will not and cannot ignore this subject. The interesting thing is that many non-Christians are very inquisitive about what the Bible says regarding future world events, when at the same time many individual Christians and local churches never even mention this subject. This is a great trajedy because it is a great evangelism tool.
Let's wake up! Things are happening that are fulfilling Bible prophecy. This tells us two things: the Bible is the inspired Word of God for all generations down through human history and second, we need to realize what is happening and be prepared for it spiritually. It is all leading up to a period of great tribulation. (Matthew 24:21-22) If you are a casual, playing-church, pretending "Christian" you will not be ready. It is going to require spiritual men and women who know what they believe with conviction and no compromise. The only people who will make it are going to be those who have put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ, and their allegiance is to Him, and Him alone.
No matter at what point the true believers are taken out of the world, up until this time there will be a great testing of one's faith, persecution, and possibly even death for standing firm with Jesus. It will be easy to deny one's faith unless it is built rock solid on God's word and the claims of Christ.
It will all come down to one thing: will you deny Christ? If you do you will be able to continue living on earth but will spend an eternity in a literal hell with Satan. If you do not you could be killed but will spend eternity in the presence of Christ. Anyone living on the earth during this great tribulation will experience the plagues listed in Revelation 16. Open you Bibles and read this chapter. They will be faced with the questions asked at the beginning of this article. Those are rather sobering questions, aren't they? Scare tactics, no. Out of the Word of God, yes. See Revelation 13:17 and 20:4.
Much of Revelation is symbolic, but much of it can also be taken literally, and it is much better to take something literally and be prepared than to take it as symbolism and just brush it off. Since the first coming of Christ to earth in a baby was fulfilled in exact detail there is no reason to not believe that His second coming and the things revealed in Revelation will also be literally fulfilled.
Anyone choosing to go along with the one world government led by the anti-Christ will be doomed for all of eternity. Just as Christ was and is God in human flesh, so Satan will manifest himself in bodily form to rule the world. You must decide now to stand firm with Christ.
