Is the Lord preserving you for His glory? The Apostle Paul was saved from the storm in Acts 27 because he was destined to stand before Caesar and give good account of God’s grace. It was so important that Paul reach his destination so the more than 200 men who had already lightened their load by throwing much overboard and who would have perished along with Paul, were finally saved. Are you being saved for God’s glory?
If the word of God says the Lord is the good shepherd who will leave the flock to find the one who is lost, then you must know the one person the Lord has for you to encounter is worth as much to God as Paul’s testimony to Caesar whereby Christendom would take root and grow to save the whole of the Roman empire. The Lord Jesus saves one person at a time and God is preserving you to follow your path to victory for Him. Not even the raging waves of the sea will prevent your sailing ship from arriving in God’s port of call.
This is a call that brings the message of salvation to those who have not yet heard that they do not have to die in their sin but the revelation a way has been made for them to also be delivered from the storm which seeks to destroy their vessel. Keep your rudder sturdy in the Word of God, lift your sails high into the breeze of the Holy Spirit and dump anything overboard that’s a hindrance to you making it through, so that you too can pursue what God has in mind for you.
