When will the fighting ever end?
When will we feel peace upon the earth?
How many tears will have to fall?
Before we see that we are brothers, sisters, friends.
How many battles must we fight?
How many lives have to end?
Don't we see that we are cause to our own strife?
Will we learn that we are one until the end?
On this great earth so many countries do abound-
with lines drawn in between them by mankind.
And we've fought to hold our own pieces of ground.
But, it's us, it's not God who drew those lines.
Yes, it's us, it's not God who drew those lines.
How many times will I gaze upon-
the same moon that we share, one and all?
What will it take until we finally know-
when one is down, we all suffer the fall?
No matter where you are upon the earth.
Be your skin yellow, white or brown.
He died for us so we may have re-birth.
But, we don't see it as we tear each other down.
For every violet that sits growing in a field.
For every baby who brings joy into a heart.
There's another far across this wondrous world.
Don't you see, we really aren't so far apart?
