I stand alone on the hill doing my masters will
My light shines out to give a warring shout
Stay away from the cliff the rocks are near
Don't come to close don't lose your life here
Faithfully I watch for you night and day
To keep you safe and help you on your way
I can be seen from afar you will see my light
wherever you are my master keeps me clean and bright
To save your souls is my delight
Life can be lonely here on the hill
But as long as I am needed my light will shine still
Men come and go in ships to and fro
The waves get higher and splash you about
So look out for my light and here me shout
Stay away from the cliff the rocks are near
And you know fine captain you will be safe here
