Sometimes things will always go
another way than planned.
In times like these we must obey
and take God by the hand.
We MUST be open to His grace
and follow Him and pray.
It should not matter what the path
if Jesus leads the way.
Through disappointments, doubts, and fears
we must keep trusting Him.
He'll show the way for us to go,
where He's already been.
We may not think His way is good,
but who are we to say.
He who knows what's up ahead
will guide us all the way.
Then there's times we want to strive
for what we think is best.
We think we know what we should do;
if only we would rest.
We're going through a test of faith,
to seek His love and grace.
For what God really wants to know
is will we seek His face?
We need to seek above all else,
what He'd like us to be.
It might bring trials, tests and woes,
but all along we'll see.
We'll see how much He loves and cares,
though we don't know His plan.
If we'd just say, "Let God be God",
we'd be His greatest fan.
