When everything is grim and you seem so unsure
When darkness moves in and you become insecure
Pray to God for a new beginning.
Bow down on your knees and look far up above
To someone who cares, look to the Father of love
With all your soul, ask for a new beginning.
Pray from your heart, release all of your pain
Loose yourself in worship for its Heaven you’ll gain
When you ask for a new beginning.
Being humble before Him is where the healing begins
Pray for a new start and forgiveness of your sins
Take time to pray for a new beginning.
When you’ve poured out your heart and all crying is through
When you can feel His peace begin comforting you
Be meek and mild as you wait for a new beginning.
Ask for a renewing of spirit, let God deep inside
Ask for mercy and grace; allow Him to be your guide
Believe, with the faith of a child for a new beginning.
When you feel His presence and strength abounding in you
Like a burden that’s been lifted and your worries feel few
You’ll know your prayer was heard for a new beginning.
Look to the sky and thank the Father who’s always there
For releasing you from another dangerous life snare
Then thank God for a new day, and your new beginning.
