Valentine’s Day follows my wife’s birthday and this is good in that The Great Blonde seems to never age. Today with all its emphasis on romantic love affords numerous opportunities for little things to done and powerful words of love to be uttered, that will act as a balm for forgetting her birthday.
Over some fifty years of courtship and then marriage I have used them all. The girl just simply does not show her age. She is the epitome of “Forever Young.” Every now and then I come across an expression of love, a saying that rings a bell in my heart and I spear it as it swims by and save it for the inevitable rainy day. I hope this gem by Hardy Kruger works a little in my behalf today: "In the cathedral of my heart a candle will always be lit for you."
If you read an article from me on Wednesday you will know the “Cathedral” works and you may use it as needed.
One of the many blessings of being a Christian is the fact of Christ’s unwavering love always remembering important things about us. He never attempts make up statements for He has already said and done it all for us via the Gospel. His eternal Valentine is the unforgettable John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
