She was living in sin and she knew it, she was also ashamed of it, yet continued to live on not knowing when and how she would be delivered from this state of life to the blessedness of God which she might never have even dreamt about, yet when Jesus met her, spoke to her, her eyes were opened and she who once was ashamed to come before the people, joyfully witnessed about the Messiah to all. Yes we are talking about the Samaritan woman who met Jesus.
What was the problem with the Samaritan woman?
Her problem was probably what she spoke to Jesus and what Jesus also accepted....she had no husband....or rather no one husband.
"The woman answered and said, “I have no husband.”
Jesus said to her, “You have well said, ‘I have no husband,’"
John 4:17 (NKJV)
The Samaritan woman was not living a happy married life, rather she was living in sin and was also ashamed of it, might be desiring to get out from it, however was not able to because of the inner urge for sin.
I believe such is the state of many of us today and many whom we know, we know our wrong, we want to get out, if asked about our failure, we have a clear answer blaming ourselves, and we are mourning within ourselves everyday, however we do not know when and how our mourning could be changed to dancing, our weeping could be changed to joy.
Dear One!!! Jesus met the Samaritan woman at the point of her deep despair and changed her life, she became a joyful witness for Christ, what change did actually happen to her? Probably earlier she was living for herself, to satisfy her sinful passions to which the devil had enslaved her, but now she was living for Christ, to witness His goodness and mercy and thus was a preacher of and for the light.
Christ will meet you right now and is willing to bring you out from your despair and shame, just commit yourselves into His hands fully and then do what your heart tells you, for surely now the voice of your heart will not provoke you to sin, but rather it will encourage you to glorify God and witness His light through your life.
Jesus stated this clearly..."Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed." John 8:36(NKJV)
Its time to be free, Jesus desires to set you free, commit yourselves into His hands.
God Bless,
Abraham
