But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
We seek material things and pursue them with such vigor that often lead to a lot of problems. With our insatiable thirst, we find it difficult to differentiate between needs and wants. As you already know, I suppose, needs are the basic necessities we require for life to on smoothly. Wants on the other hand, are luxuries we try to enmesh ourselves in sometimes to our detriment.
This could lead us to covetousness and envy which are actually toxic elements to our relationships. Paul rightly observes thus: 'Now godliness with contentment is great gain' (1 Timothy 6:6).
God knows everything we need and don't need. If we get our priorities right - putting God first and desiring to see kingdom principles entrenched in our lives and society, we will never lack for anything we need. His promise (which never fails) is: all these things (that you need) I will give to you.
