Why are My children so easily deceived? Predatory preachers tell them “The greater the sacrifice the greater the blessing”. Are My blessings of life and peace for sale like common merchandise? Simon Magus the magician thought so. He tried to buy power to impart My Holy Spirit to others. Simon offered Peter money in exchange for this wonderful gift of God (Acts 8:14-24). But Peter was deeply offended. He said, “May your money perish with you for thinking you could BUY God’s gift for money. You have no part in this ministry with us, for your heart is not right in the sight of God.”
Today the response from carnally minded church leaders would be just the opposite. They would say to Simon the magician, “Bless you for sacrificing your biggest bill, dear brother. God will reward you. You gave a big sacrifice so God owes you a big blessing in return.”
These crooked church leaders also disagree with what Peter said about Simon’s heart being wrong. Instead they say your heart isn’t right with Me if you DON’T try to buy blessings from preachers with “your biggest offering.” Simon would gladly have paid Peter a fortune if Peter had been a shifty character like today’s carnival preachers.
Oh, My beloved children, don’t you see the spiritual danger of thinking you have to pay Me money for My blessings? Didn’t My dear Son make a big enough sacrifice to please Me? These greedy preachers are REALLY saying that what Jesus suffered for you is not enough to give you ALL the blessings which pertain to life and godliness (2 Pet.1:3). All things are ALREADY yours by faith and I will provide them freely as you need them for your genuine well-being (I Cor.3:21; Rom.8:32). You have but to ask. I gave you My own Son, so why should you doubt that I would give you a lesser blessing if you asked Me? This is not to say I expect you to sit around all day long and do nothing, but so long as you continue in faith and obedience you can expect to ask in faith and confidence and receive liberally from My hand that which you need (John 15:7; Phil.4:6; 19).
But those lying snakes in the grass claim that while Christ may have paid your way to heaven, other sacrifices are needed to persuade Me to give you lesser blessings on earth. They condition you to feel ashamed to come before My presence to ask for practical help in time of need (Heb.4:16) unless you come with your money bags full to pay for it. They say you can only come before Me with an offering (money, that is). And why? So those conniving rattlesnake preachers can receive that cash on My behalf (and spend it on luxuries FOR THEMSELVES in My Name as well).
Parasite preachers are turning My own children into beggars who bring money to My alleged representatives to try to BUY blessings and favors from Me. Such predatory preachers resort to religious lies to enrich themselves, but in the process they’re making you spiritually poor.
Dear ones, don’t ever listen to them or you’ll end up paying a terrible price.
