Have you ever agonized over difficulties or problems in your life, only to have some one come up to you and say, “Oh build a bridge and get over it!” I’m sure that was not very comforting, but maybe that is the only way the world is able to deal with problems or difficulties in their lives. But if you are a believer in the Son of God, the construction has already been completed! Jesus is the only “bridge” you will need, and He has already built it!
When Jesus died on that cross and arose from the grave, conquering death, He became the bridge that spans the gap between our sin and our God. He did it for you and me, and we get “over it”, it being our problems and difficulties, by crossing that bridge built by His blood, which gives us full access face to face with our Creator. Then it is up to us to leave these issues at His feet and let Him deal with them, trusting by faith that He will see you through all things. Take your burdens to the Lord and leave them there; don’t keep going back to pick them up again!
