My prayer is for our community
So that we could come together in unity
I’m tired of all the bickering
The violence has become more sickening
It’s causing our families to be weakening
And there’s nobody to be fixing it
Lord knows I want to see an end to this
For all the malice and the murdering have to quit
I pray that everybody would just come and sit
To release the anger inward from these gang-banging jits
Where’s the parents and the leaders with the godly wit
We can’t give up on our children for they are headed to the pit
My prayer is for the time to see our families become close knit
So our communities and the world could handle the tight fit
I pray for the love, forgiveness and all of the opposites
For we all should come together and submit to recommit
They took Jesus out of everything who makes us all legit
Now they wonder why our children, is caught up in all the mix
I pray that somebody someday will do a reversal on this hit
Cause it seems we’re pinned up against a wall, needing a spiritual emergency kit
