How I dreaded to wake up every day,
Thinking there was nothing more to say.
There was no one who wanted me
So I didn't want to be.
ALL I SAW WAS DARKNESS
Clouds in the sky, no light in sight.
The sun was not going to shine today,
So why get up anyway.
There was no reason.
ALL I SAW WAS DARKNESS
Why is it so dark?
When will I see the light of day?
It was like being in a deep, dark well
Unable to climb out.
AND ALL I SAW WAS DARKNESS
THEN I MET JESUS!
Jesus dropped a long, strong rope down the well,
And he helped me up into the daylight.
It was so bright--
I saw His light everywhere.
His majesty just glowed
As He glorified God.
NO MORE DARKNESS
Is it time to wake up, Lord?
I'm ready for a new day.
There is so much to see,
Oh, it's great to be alive.
NO MORE DARKNESS
I am someone special.
I am a child of God.
I have a Father in heaven
And a brother named Jesus.
NO MORE DARKNESS
Micah 7:8 - "When I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me."
John 12:46 - "I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on Me should not abide in darkness.
