How do I love thee?
Let me count the ways.
No, wait, there’s not enough
Numbers in the universe
That can total what I feel
For you, so why even start.
Such feelings, limited in
This human frame that
Continues to age, yet around
You, time disappears (literally!).
It’s like a fleeting moment…
Then you are gone!
Alas, I’m only left with a
Warm memory of an entity
That also is capable of warming
My heart, my feelings and my desires,
All of which linger long after she departs.
Was she only a dream…
An illusion… a fulfilled fantasy,
That may never again reappear?
Only time will tell…or maybe
God will finally allow…Togetherness!
