Present Your Bodies a Living Sacrifice

We are to worship God in body and soul. Romans 12:1 says, "I beseech you therefore by the mercies of God that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God which is your reasonable service and be not conformed to this worl but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

We are committing various acts in our lives. Some are good and some are not so good. Some are strictly evil or bad. We call the bad acts sins.

There are sins of commission and sins of omission. As we seek to be more like Jesus Christ, as we seek to be holy which is a process. We desire to please our Lord in every aspect of our lives. We desire to please the Lord in our thoughts, our desires, our attitudes, our words, and our songs of praise. Our words should be less critical and more comforting.

Finally, we must consider our actions (and death is our final act before we say goodbye to this body) in this life. You see the soul will some day say goodbye to this body and when we die we want to die with dignity if possible.

Do we want to die with a cigarette in our mouth,
or a prostitute in our arms or a beer can in our hand? I don't think so. But let us die in the Lord serving Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. Let us love Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. Deut. 6:5

You see we are to glorify God whether we eat or drink and in all that we do. In the little things as well as the big things.

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31
