You are my Eve,
Because you represent to me
A new beginning.
You are my Rachel,
For you represent willingness
To please and obey.
You are my Ruth,
Because of your loyalty, honor,
And devotion.
You are my Esther,
Known and chosen for her beauty
And intelligence.
You are my Mary Magdalene,
One with such love for her Savior,
Such dedication, respect, and appreciation.
All of these biblical women represent
The gifts and values, and characteristics
That I have found in you, that I see in you,
That I cherish in you.
Characteristics of a devoted Christian wife,
Someone I would and could trust
With the same love, respect, and devotion
That you will have for me.
By God’s grace,
He granted us a second chance,
And in you, my beloved, I have
Proof and confirmation that He truly lives,
And that He is in control!
