One Christian song says "mercy said no" when sin tried to snatch me away! I believe this is the truth for most if not all of us.
We come from backgrounds where we would have never known Christ had it not been Him picking us and welcoming us into His eternal home.
Although sometimes we get to feel that we are compassed by gross injustice and wars formulated against us, we only have Christ as assurance that we will live and not die.
The book of Psalms says for Jesus Christ that although 10000 will fall at His feet, His life will be spared. The people of God through Christ will surely survive.
