I wanted to thank each and every one of you again for your inspiration, your encouragement, and your prayers.
I have been in a bit of a funk the last few years. I forgot how being on a ship can freeze frame my life. I missed church, I missed reading, I missed writing. I prayed much less and I encouraged less. So much I have let slip away under the disquise as work.
I am back in the States on shore duty, with the plan to retire here. So I want to get back to where I was in my walk with Christ so I can grow from there. One of the most important steps is to appreciate what I have already. That is a great family (and a very supportive wife), great friends, and a powerful fellowship.
I've been stuggling with writing because I am struggling with my walk. So I came here and began to read my previous posts for the lessons imbedded in them (as most applied to me anyway), but what I found more encouraging was the things written below the poetry. Your comments, encouragements, critiques, and faithfulness are amazing. I pray that I can do the same for you.
Be patient with me and know that I thank God each day for you. Thank you again.
I no longer have messenger but my contact info is reborn2serve@gmail.com; christian.coutts1@navy.mil; and I am on facebook.
God bless,
Christian

Welcome back! Thank you for sharing your heart with us and for your prayers. Glad to be sharing with you once more. I thought of Psalm 37 verse 23 as I read your title. "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way."
