JEHOVAH, THE ESSENCE OF THE EARTH
It is sadden that most humans are yet to accept the truth that Jehovah God is the essence of the earth, life spawned from Him and evolved around Him; and without Him there will be no earth – life would have been meaningless. Faithful children of God taking the path to God’s righteousness must know and understand this truth.
Earth owed Jehovah much debt, to be paid with fury of His vengeance. Heavens are storing God’s fury, in form of fire and brimstones, the cup of such fury now overflowing; fury of nature heralding this divine wrath. The billions of years old earth has been enduring the wrath of the Almighty, increasing everyday being fuelled up by the atrocities of humans and demons alike. The earth is burning furiously fast; soon the ultimate outpouring of God’s wrath will burn her into oblivion.
Generation after generation the blood of God’s saints slew for their faith have been crying for vengeance – in fact demanding vengeance. Sins and atrocities of the world are escalating speedily, offensive odour of sexual immorality: homosexuality, bestiality, and other kinds of sexual atrocities ascending to sicken His breath. Religions are not helping either; almost all religions of the world are saturated with occultism in one form or the other. Christianity, though the Truth still abounds, but the falsehood flourishing immensely is abhorrent to Jehovah.
The world today owes much thanks to Jesus, the atoner between God and the human race; his coming into the world as light of salvation thousands of years ago softened the wrath of God for completely overwhelming the atrocious world. Alas in these days churches of Christ are deep in iniquities like the rest world around them. Falsehood and religious hypocrisy abounds aplenty in Christendom; few righteous ones of Christ facing persecution ceaselessly.
Fury of Jehovah is burning furiously, the four elements: earth, water, wind and fire are heralding the wrath of the Almighty. Continuous rising of God’s wrath against this atrocious world is increasing the fury of these elements as we have known today, the elements of nature. Today the world is under threats of these elements in form of natural disasters. Fury of the wind in form of windstorm, tempest, maelstrom, tornadoes e cetera is on the increase. Fury of water in form of tsunami, hurricanes, floods e cetera is also on the increase, ravaging the earth savagely. Fury of the earth in form of earthquakes, landslides, sandstorms e cetera is also on the increase. Fire too, a cruel destroyer, is ravaging across the earth in natural disasters, like fiery volcanoes e cetera.
Rising of God’s wrath is increasing the natural fury of these elements. He is the essence of earth and nature, rising of His wrath causes the revolt of these elements against the atrocious world, and the catastrophes they bring.
The Holy Bible bears witness to these awesome powers of God over nature, they move with His Spirit, rise and fall at the moving power of His Spirit. The book of Exodus 13:21 records that, “And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them along the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, that they may travel by day and by night.”
Nature drives its existence from God; they herald the moving force of Him. On Mount Sinai God power over elements of nature was displayed, as it is written in the book of Exodus 19:16-18, “On the morning of the third day there were thunders and lightning, and a thick cloud upon the mountain, and a very loud trumpet blast, so that all the people who were in the camp tremble. Then Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet God; and they took their stand at the foot of the mountain. And Sinai was wrapped in smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire; and smoke of it went up like the smoke of a kiln, and the whole mountain quaked greatly,” (RSV).
Prophet Elijah witnessed the awesome power of God over nature on his flight to Mount Horeb, as it is written in the book of 1 Kings 19:11-12, “And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and broke in pieces the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.” Wonderful and awesome it is, God’s powers over nature (His heralds), they rise and fall at His moving force.
To calm the fury of nature the world must firstly appease God’s wrath, through righteousness, holiness, equity, justice, and love for one another, brotherly affection and caring for one another.
Heeding God’s Warning
If you listen carefully you will hear God’s warning ringing loud and clear in the world today. Observing the ecological nature of the earth you will find out that the old planet is nearing end of her existence. Politics of the world too is bringing nations together through dialogue, blood and conquest; heading to one direction – ultimate dominance of the super power.
Warning of God has been ringing loud and clear from days of old till presence, calling the world for sober reflection and to flee from the wrath of God through repentance. God’s warning herald speedy disasters, though it might tarry longer than expected.
Astrologers spent considerable time observing stars and moon for signs and prediction of destinies, so are the signs of end-time obvious for the world to read. They are warnings of the coming wrath of God, warning the world must heed.
God’s warning if ignored lead to speedy disasters. The people of Israel had a bitter taste of disasters, consequently of their failure to heed God’s warning. Generation after generation Israelites continue in sin, doing evil in God’s sight. They hardened their hearts against God’s warning and His calling for their repentance until God’s wrath fully unleashed and made the nation desolate for almost a century.
The book of 2 Chronicles 36:14-21 gave account: “All the leading priests and the people likewise were exceedingly unfaithfully, following all the abominations of the nations; and they polluted the houses of the LORD which he had hallowed in Jerusalem. 15The LORD, the God of their fathers, sent persistently to them by his messengers, because he had compassion on his people and on his dwelling place; 16but they kept mocking the messengers of God, despising his words, and scoffing at his prophets, till the wrath of God rose against his people, till there was no remedy. 17Therefore he brought up against them the King of the Chaldeans, who slew their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion on young man or virgin, old man or aged; he gave them all into his hand. 18And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king and of his princes, all these he brought to Babylon. 19And they burned the house of God, and broke down the wall of Jerusalem, and burned all its palaces with fire, and destroyed all its precious vessels. 20He took into exile in Babylon those who had escaped from the sword, and they became servants to him and to his sons until the establishment of Persia, 21to fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed its Sabbaths. All the days that it lay desolate it kept Sabbath, to fulfil seventy years.” RSV
Another biblical example was Nebuchadnezzar King of Babylon, wealth, fame and power his empire brought him made him ruthless and proud. God’s warning came to him through Daniel the prophet, but he did not heed until disaster overtook him. It is written: “This is the interpretation, O king: It is a decree of the Most High, which has come upon my lord the king, 25that you shall be driven from among men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field; you shall be made to eat grass like an ox, and you shall be wet with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over you, till you know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men, and gives it to whom he will ... 27Therefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable to you; break off your sins by practising righteousness, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the oppressed. That there may perhaps be a lengthening of your tranquillity.” Daniel 4:24-27, RSV.
It was quite unfortunate for the idolatry king; the disaster came seedily on him, as it is written: “All this came upon King Nebuchadnezzar. 29At the end of twelve months he was walking on the roof of the royal palace of Babylon, 30and the king said, “Is not this great Babylon, which I have built by my mighty power as a royal residence and for the glory of my majesty?” 31While the words were still in the king’s mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, “O king Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is spoken: The kingdom has departed from you, 32and you shall be driven from among men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field; and you shall be made to eat grass like an ox; seven times shall pass over you, until you learned that the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will.” 33Immediately the word was fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar. He was driven from among men, and ate grass like an ox, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven till his hair grew as long as eagles’ feathers and his nails were like birds claws.” Daniel 4:28-33, RSV.”
Plagues Of The End
In God’s sight the earth is ripe enough for harvest; the heavens have stored up the bowls of wrath of the Almighty, which shall totally consume the earth after the rapture. After the half an hour silence in heaven for the Satan kingdom to vast strong, full wrath of God will begin.
It is written: “Now the seven angels who had the seven trumpets made ready to blow them. The first angel blew his trumpet, and there followed hail and fire, mixed with blood, which fell on the earth; and a third of the earth was burnt up, and a third of the trees were burn up, and all green grass was burnt up. The second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a great mountain, burning with fire, was thrown into the sea; and a third of the sea became blood, a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed. The third angel blew his trumpet and a great star fell from heaven, blazing like a torch, and fell on a third of the rivers and on the fountains of water. The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died of water because it was made bitter.” Revelation 8:6-11 RSV. The sounding of the seven trumpets in heaven will bring seven series of horrible plagues on earth under satanic empire; rapidly putting the earth to absolute destruction.
The last of the series of plagues is the outpouring of the seven bowls of wrath of the Almighty. It is written: “Then I heard a loud voice from the temple telling the seven angels, “Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.” So the first angel went and poured his bowl on the earth, and foul and evil sores came upon the men who bore the mark of the beast and worshipped its image. The second angel poured his bowl into the sea, and it became like the blood of a dead man, and every living thing died that was in the sea, and it became like blood of a dead man, and every living thing died that was in the sea. The third angel poured his bowl into the rivers and fountains of water, and they became blood. And I heard the angel of water say, ‘Just art thou in these thy judgements, thou who art and wast, O Holy One. For men have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink it is their due!” Rev. 16:1-6.
Alas, how devastating the earth would be in the days of the outpouring of God’s bowls of wrath. At the end of all there would not be earth again, and then Jehovah God will take his seat to judge the living and the dead according to what they have done. It is written: “Then I saw a great white throne and him who sat upon it; from his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, by what they had done.” Revelation 20:11-12.
Call To Repentance
“...The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low... He said therefore to the multitudes that came out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bear fruits that befit repentance...” Luke 3:4-8.
God is ever willing to forgive the worst sinner, as His wrath is burning loudly likewise His calling to repentance. He made Jesus, the atoner of the sin of the world, the only True Way to Him because He wants repentance. God sent His preachers all over the world because He wants repentance; He made fury of nature heralding His flaming wrath because He wants the world to see it and repent. Like a bereaved Father His arms are spread wide open calling people to repent; ready to welcome repented sinners into His loving fatherly arms. Apostle Peter said to the gathered multitudes in the book of Acts 2: 38, “...Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins...” God calls for repentance, and He is ever willing to forgive, purify and sanctify sinners and set them on the right path to righteousness.
A heart of repentance should produce fruits of repentance, a total change from sinful life to God’s righteousness. God spoke in the book of Isaiah 1:16-17, “Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your doings from before my eyes; cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; defend the fatherless, plead for the widow.” In the same book it is written, “...Who among us can dwell with devouring fire? Who among us can dwell with everlasting burnings? He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, who despises the gain of oppressions, who shakes his hands, lest they hold a bribe, who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed and shuts his eyes from looking upon evil, he will dwell on heights; his place of defence will be sure.” 33:14-16.
God has promised full pardon for those who heed His call and repent, His promises are assured. Repentance from sins: sexual immorality, violence, greediness, covetousness, killing, lying, cheating, slandering, occult practise, carousing, pride, unfaithfulness, and all kinds of iniquity; must be done to enjoy full promises of God Almighty from one degree of glory to another.
