Greater Works Shall U Do

Jesus wants us to tap in to a greater level of faith in what He desires for us to live out in regards to the Ministry of an Evangelist. There’s a secret to arriving at that level of ministry. The secret is found in scripture but it’s up to us to see it thru and experience it firsthand. There is even a prayer for it, for you and me to go-in-deep with God the Father to be a powerful Evangelist.

Do you really want it? Are you passionate and crazy enough in Jesus to be that awesome Minister? It’s not for the faint in heart…It’s not for the cowardly… It’s not for the money-hungry preachers… It’s for His highly trained and time-tested disciples that are sincerely driven to reach people for the kingdom of God. It’s for you…It’s for me…It’s for the person that dedicates themselves to the cause…His divine cause.

Jesus Said…

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it (John 14:12-14).

The Application and Key to Ministry

I read this verse many times and I read a lot of different teaching on it in the topic of prayer, but no one ever taught this to me like Jesus did. The key to being a powerful Evangelist is to;

1. Believe what Jesus said here.
2. Understand what Jesus means by Works.
3. Understand that Works is everything He did Miracles, Signs, Wonders, Preaching, Teaching and Healing.

4. Asking in Prayer so He may do it. Do What? Grant you the request to be used to do Greater Works so that God may receive Glory for the things God will do thru you.

5. Jesus reaffirmed that if you ask Him about doing Greater Works, Jesus will do what you asked in regards to doing the Greater Works. He will grant you the Anointing needed to minister in whatever capacity He wishes to use you to be a blessing to others.

How many of you ever came to this revelation of these verses that we just went over? How many Pastors ever explained this verse to you as Jesus so simply explained it to His disciples? I did not say these Words. Jesus said these Words. I did not promise this to you. Jesus promised this to you. I did not come up with this idea and I’m not trying to convince you to believe it. Jesus came out with this concept and He expects us to believe it. He wasn’t just talking to His 11 disciples. Jesus was speaking to everyone whose determine to live out (that’s the secret) what He is saying throughout the entire chapter in John 14:10-24.

How can we tap into it?

22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not the world?”

23 Jesus answered and said to him, “if ANYONE loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him

24 He who does not love Me does not keep My Words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me (John 14:22-24)

Jesus Clarified It!

Jesus pointed out by what conditions He will manifest Himself to anyone--If we keep His word. When we receive His word… When we continue in His word… When we retain the information that’s found in His word… When we maintain the application of His word—He will manifest Himself. He will come to us in a powerful way so we can be used by Him.

Jesus went from talking to His disciples about the supernatural encounter that was being offered to them to being available to us in His response to Judas’ (not Iscariot) question about HIM MANIFESTING- HIMSELF. Jesus will manifest Himself to us as well. Do you see how simple that is? Why do Christians have a hard time in believing that they can do greater works than Jesus? The Kingdom of God is built on Greater Works. Elijah was used to do 7 miracles while Elisha was used to do 14 miracles. HELLO SOMEBODY! We must tap into the Greater Works mind-set… we must catch a divine revelation of scripture that was clearly presented by Jesus about the Greater Works concept.

Greater Works Means GREATER WORKS

Jesus does not lie. Jesus is not insane. Jesus meant what He said and He will carry out what He said if we keep His Word. Are you ready to go forward to tap into the GREATER WORKS? Do you really want to do the GREATER WORKS? Do you know the steps to take to get you there? Jesus made it simple… Jesus wants you to;

1. Believe in HIM. Verse 12
2. He wants you to ask about it in prayer. Verse 13
3. He wants you to ask about anything in the Signs, Wonders, and Miracle department of Ministry. Verse 14.
4. He wants you to love Him more than ministry, and any other thing on the earth. Verse 23
5. He wants you to keep His Word.

These are the simple steps to doing GREATER WORKS!!! May God ingrain this teaching into your heart so you may tap into the GREATER WORKS in Jesus’ mighty name, amen.
