Upon completing the work the Father had sent him to do, Jesus said these words, "It is finished." The work he did to save humanity was done. Because I believe this with my whole heart, I felt prompted to write a different version of the Lord's Prayer.
I call it "Because."
Because you are our Father who lives heaven
Because your name is hallowed
Because Your Kingdom has come
Because your will is being done
in the earth, as it is in heaven
Because you give us our daily bread
Because you forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us
Because you lead us not into temptation
Because you deliver us from evil
Because yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory
Because You are forever, Amen
I love you dear King Jesus!
Thank you for remembering me when you came into Your Kingdom!
