Spirituality does not come
From reading the bible thru,
It comes from a heart thatís right with God,
That reflects in all you do.
But Iíve found a joy in reading it thru,
So Iíd like to offer this challenge to you.
When was the last time you went down into Egypt,
With Joseph, as a slave in a caravan?
Then watched as he told his brothers
Who sold him there,
It was all-apart of Godsí Plan.
Or when was the last time you walked with
Joshua and Caleb, as they viewed the promise land?
Or stood as David told mighty Goliath,
ďThis day shall the Lord deliver you
Into my handĒ?
Have you recently seen as the lame man walked,
Or Jesus made the deaf and the dumb to talk?
Heard blind Bartimaseus cry
ďJesus thou Son of David have mercy on meĒ?
Or watched as a man turned back,
And with a loud voice glorify God,
This one who was healed of lepercy?
The woman of Canaan said Lord just a crumb
Is all that I asked of thee,
ďMy daughter is Grievously vexed with a demonĒ
And I want you to please set her free.
Some of the greatest stories Iíve left untold,
But theyíre far more precious than rarest gold.
They could put a twinkle in a little childsí eyes,
And warm up even the hardest heart thatís grown Cold.
But Iíve found a treasure only a heart can hold,
But when I try to explain it, it cannot be told,
Canít be given away, or ever be sold,
But itís a treasure that will never grow old.
But Iíll keep my treasure, for Iíve grown to love,
The stories, which tell of Godsí Gift From Above,
And Iíll search yet again, just to walk with my Friend,
And together weíll stroll from beginning to end.
Hereís my challenge to you, take the ďBibleĒ off the shelf,
Open Itsí Pages, and read it for yourself.
Look for "The God Of The Ages" on each of Itsí Pages.
Find Jesus within, make Him your Friend,
Then youíll be off on a journey
That will never end.
Samuel L. Saalwaechter
I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.
7. The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
8. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
10. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward. King James Version (KJV)

I hope everyone who reads this challenge of Samuel's will take him up on it. There is no finer reading available, for the Holy Bible is God's Book to us. God authored it through His inspiring Godly men to write what He gave them.
Thank you, Samuel.
