I have heard about Your life and Your pain. Is it true that you gave your life as a sacrifice for me?

They have said it was not the nails that kept you on the cross but your love for me.

How could you bear that pain? Did you want to call the angels and have them rescue you? Why would you do that? Surely God could have come up with another way to save mankind from its sin?
CHILD, SIT STILL. BE QUIET FOR A MOMENT AND LISTEN. DO YOU HEAR ANYTHING?

OH PRECIOUS AND UNFAITHFUL ONE. I AM IN THE BREEZE YOU FEEL COMING THROUGH THE TREES. I AM THE ONE WHO CONTROLS WHERE IT COMES AND WHERE IT GOES. I CONTROL THE SUN AND THE MOON AND ALL THINGS UNDER THEM. I STAYED ON THAT CROSS NOT BECAUSE GOD WOULD NOT SAVE ME OR BECAUSE I DID NOT WANT TO CALL THE ANGELS, BUT BECAUSE I LOVED YOU THAT MUCH. THE PAIN I BORE ON THAT CROSS WAS NOTHING COMPARED TO THE PAIN I FEEL EVERYDAY WATCHING YOU CONTINUE TO SIN.
I just do not understand, Lord. I do not understand why you would do all of that for me. Why?
CHILD, INSTEAD OF TRYING TO UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING, JUST ACCEPT THE LOVE I HAVE GIVEN YOU. FAITH IN ME IS NOT ABOUT UNDERSTANDING WHAT I HAVE DONE FOR YOU BUT IN ACCEPTING IT. THROUGH YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF WHAT YOU CAN NOT COMPREHEND, YOU WILL FIND YOUR WAY THROUGH LIFE. EACH TIME THEY FLOGGED ME, I THOUGHT OF YOU. EACH TIME THEY SPIT ON ME, I THOUGHT OF YOU. EACH TIME THEY PLACED A NAIL THROUGH MY BODY, I THOUGHT OF YOU. THE CROWN OF THORNS THEY MOCKINGLY PLACED ON MY HEAD REMINDED ME EACH MINUTE OF THE CROWN YOU WILL RECEIVE ONE DAY BECAUSE OF MY PAIN. THROUGH THE ENTIRE CRUCIFIXION I THOUGHT OF YOU.
Oh, blessed Lord! I will never understand, but I want to accept this love you have so freely given to me! Thank you for loving me! I will live for you.
