I want to let it go
Its consumed so much of me
Its taken root in my heart
Its hindering who I can be
Its caused so much destruction
And misery in my life
I wish God would cut it out my heart
With a spiritual surgical knife
Anger you have filled me
With fury and rage
Sometimes so much so
I need to be in a cage
I need to get you under my control
So no longer you can win
Please God hear me
Dont let anger cause me to sin
I'm too weak to fight it
I'm only flesh and blood
Please don't leave me alone
Or it may someday destroy me for good
