At midnight black, my screams sliced the silence of the night. A bad dream had encroached in my sleep. I roughly terminated the sleep to stop the download of the dream. I could not withstand the horror. Whilst convulsing with fear I started to upload a file of refuge – “My dear LORD….” so went the file.
It was not after a few days, that my efforts to cut my sweet sleep had paid me handsomely. I had an answer from the Lord. I got what I wanted to download - protection. It was a great miracle and will remain.
You will agree with me that, almost everyone in one way or another uploads and downloads information or data from servers or somewhere. These words, upload and download, are not only restricted to computer age.
Christian life too surrounds on these words. How? You may be asking. You will know. I thought you are reading, continue.
Christians, every day will upload their queries, prayers and praises to God loudly, silently or expressed in any artistic way. Downloads include, answers, blessings, mercies and favours among others. There are no breakdowns.
With this spiritual ‘data’ there are files and files of prayers and answers being uploaded and downloaded respectively. God has everything your need for building your life. And for every fraction of a second God is uploading files in the life of someone, now it could be you.
Your trust of God must be more than that you have for the remote server. The problem might be with the speed at which the download is been accessible. You may want the speed to tally with your impatience.
You all trust yourselves much more that at the time you pray, you believe the uploading has been successful. You brush aside that there could be outlandishly ideas encroaching into the way. There could be storms in our ‘spiritual weather’ – envy, wrong requests, dishonest, rage and the whirlwinds. All these may have negative impacts on your prayers.
Your success may just depend on the next upload of your prayer to God or your download could spell doom or success for you. Keep on uploading and downloading to meet the needs of your life.
