THE FAITH OF ATHEISM

These thoughts were sparked by an advertisement on the side bar of my computers e-mail page. The advertisement was dressed in “clothes of religious thought.” It is gone now, but I clicked on it and saw that the book is advocating the abolition of all religion on the grounds that religion is potentially dangerous and can cause our world to explode into chaos.

I thought how really ignorant an argument that is: it is akin to an argument that we should do away with air, because air has the potential to amass great velocity and cause damage and bring chaos to our world.

This is not a new thought. In the Bible we are told about those who would “free” us from the fetters of religion. They wish to throw away God and to ignore and eradicate all His communication and relationship with mankind.

The unasked question is, “What do we have when all religious faiths are thrown away?”

The answer is we have the “faith of atheism!” Atheists moan and immediately deny that they have “faith.” They do not like the word itself. Atheists think they have no religion and in fact they do.

Atheism is simple, they say. You are your own pilot in this world and you do what is good for you and then when you die you are no more. The only problem is they cannot be certain that what they offer to us is truly a fact. They would have us to believe what they cannot prove.

The truth is that their “religion,” yes RELIGION, is as old as Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve desired to be their own god and to know good from evil and so they learned it, and their offspring have been trying to live by it ever since. Atheism is a religion of “self worship.” Atheism has all the earmarks of religion and it is a religion, but what does the religion of Atheism offer to us?

It claims to offer “freedom from;” alright but what does it capture us to? It offers to us to work out all the problems we experience on this earth by ourselves. It offers us no help and no one but ourselves to call upon for wisdom regarding life’s ups and downs. It requires that we have great acquisition of knowledge because how else can we support our style of living, we must know everything possible; we are after all our own, unmentionable. It gives no hope for the miraculous intervention of God for our problems of health and finance, or the world’s apprehensive situations. It offers no hope of a future in the life after here, because they assure us that there is no life after here. That is NOT because they have any proof!

I have known atheists who have died and returned to life and after they have, they are no longer atheists. They tell of life and consciousness after leaving their earth house, some tell of black blackness, total darkness, and some tell of the fires of a burning Hell. They do not return as an unbeliever in the life after here.

Unfortunately, those who do not get to return then know, but cannot tell us that they wasted their faith on the errors of Atheism.

The adage that it does not matter what you believe, it only matters that you are sincere in your belief, is very erroneous. There is what IS and we did not make it and we shall not change it.

Atheists should question their reaction to the sight of The Cross. What is it about the Cross that causes such severe reactions and causes them to entreat the government on legal grounds to eradicate the symbol? It makes no good sense that if it is true that there is no God, and no such thing as sin, and no Heaven or Hell, that an image of such a simple Symbol should cause such a ruckus. Is it that the symbol shakes their faith?
Atheists do have FAITH.

Atheists believe what they have chosen to believe and cannot prove it, and that is a good definition of FAITH. They are constantly demanding of the Christian faith, to produce hard core facts. I don’t notice them attacking other religious groups, all the while they cannot prove any of their beliefs, nor do they offer as much proof as does Christianity for what they as Atheists, believe.

I must admit that Atheists have more faith than I do. There is no way I could get myself to believe such things as they offer. How can you look at the world about you and believe it just happened by accident? How can they not know those moments of interaction with the world of their spirit, which they do have; and how can they ignore the testimonies of those who have died and yet were allowed to return and who tell them that there is an After Here Life?

The evidence is so huge in opposition to what they believe that I am amazed by the faith they exhibit.

The chances they take while espousing their great intellect, is to me, unbelievable.
