Hello to all of you writers and a very happy, healthy new year!

Having read many articles in the 'What's New' category, I often wonder who is writing through experience and who is writing fiction?

Listen, if I think you are genuine, I can write within a heartbeat!
I am of a compassionate nature, however, I am also capable of being taken for a 'ride', which is an English expression for being naive.

If you can all print either 'fiction' or 'factual' in your 'what's new' category, you would be helping me significantly.

Veronica, I couldn't agree more. This is why we ask people to include a footnote on Challenge entries if there is a possibility that fiction could be confused with a real story, or vice versa. It can make a huge difference to the reader and to the publishing potential of that article.

I think that would be a great help too. I have been puzzled over some recent articles. Poetry is a slightly different category though; from my experience, it's written from the heart, or just flows from the pen.
