In a little town of New Mexico, called Rodey Jessieís future was already chosen for her, although she was only six years of age, Her father already had big plans for her life. His plan for his little girl was for her to become a Nun, and he was in the process of making plans with the Catholic church for her. As fate would have it that was not to be. Her father was gone from home so often, working for Henry Ford, in Michigan. She spent her days with her Grandfather and Grandmother and two brothers. Her mother had died at a very young age so it was up to them to watch and raise the children. At the young age of six she received the news that her father had died so now it was her and her brothers left with grandpa and grandma. While the years came and went she was getting a wise span of education on the medicinal purposes of each wild herb and how to prepare it. You see her little grandmother was a full blooded Apache, and a very wise one. Her grandfather was a little Frenchman from Mexico. So in the meantime she was developing into a beautiful young woman. They as a family attended the town dances, and it was at one of these dances that she caught the eyes of a handsome, young, red headed , Spanish man. She did not know that this was to be her future husband and that her family had already chosen him for her. So at a very young age of seventeen she married this man. As newly weds life was hard in New Mexico, so Daniel, her new husband decided to move his wife to Colorado for a better life there. They bought a little ranch there in the hills somewhere near Fort Collins and there they started their little family that just kept growing. It seemed, GOD was blessing her with a baby every two years! She loved her little growing family, and the winters were hard especially when she needed to get up very early, take care of all the household chores and there were little ones that needed to be fed and taken care of. Sometime during Danielís young years he developed the taste for liquor and it became so strong in his life. There were times on that little ranch that Jessie felt so alone and life was not getting any easier as there family just kept growing. They sold the ranch and moved into town in a little a little village called Kersey, CO., and it was there Daniel and Jessie attended a small church and they gave there hearts and lives to God. Daniel did away with his drinking and began his ministry in that little church . God blessed him with a life of seventy four years.
