The chickens were living peacefully in their fenced pen, safe and secure.
Then the sly red fox sauntered by, surveyed the situation,then he made his plan of action.
First he moved by outside the fence to get the attention of the chickens. Then increase the pace to create doubt that the fence provided safety.
The chickens became restless, then frightened and one flew over the top of the fence.
The fox left to watch from a distance until the chicken became calm and started searching for bugs and concentrating on eating, letting the guard down.
In the search for food the chicken moved into the area convenient for the hidden fox. Immediately the fox pounced upon the chicken, made a rapid exit, with the chicken in its mouth.
Is there a similarity with story of a visitor in the Garden of Eden?
First to get the attention, persuade, deceive, and lead astray. There is also the example of loosing faith, choosing another solution.
The chicken that trusted the fence remained calm, secure and alive.
