As I gaze at the sky, watching the falling snow,
I wonder aloud while spending time with my Lord,
“Another year flew by, Lord, where did the time go?”
Then I remember what we accomplished all year,
I am amazed at how awesome You are, Lord--
How together we faced every foe, every fear.
Even when I fail You, You never abandon me,
Then I wonder why You love me so much, Lord,
“Thank You Jesus for Your grace and Your mercy.”
Starting a New Year brings God’s promise and hope,
I wonder what will happen during this new year, Lord,
“I know we will make it, Father—You help us cope.”
As the snow settles down and the clouds reveal the stars,
I understand a little bit more, Lord, Your tears, Your scars.
