12/31/11 New Year’s Eve service Pastor Michael-Possessing My Promise: Its About Time! Joshua 1:1-3, 8-9 11:55 pm
==========================================================================
Its almost 2012 and God works in seasons. For many of us, 2011 was a hard year and many of us came thru it by the skin of our chiny chin-chin. We found in 2011 that we were let by the creek to die, but we are still here! God has a promise for us but we have to be prepared for the promise. We must be processed before we get the promise. Like photo film, we must be processed in the dark room. There have been some dark things and some dark days in 2011.

We are here tonight because we have been processed in the dark days.We all go through cycles. We can’t get our promises unless we go thru the dark days. We must give God praise because we made it here tonight-the last day of the year. God deserves Praise up in here, up in here! We couldn’t have made it without the Lord! We would have lost it all but with God we made it! We held onto the Lord!

Joshua and the children of Israel were being processed for their promise. 2011 was a year of disorder, trials and tribulations. God let it shake so much in 2011 so He could get us to 2012. 2012 is the year God will restore things back to us. Anytime there is a promise, we have to cross over to it. The river Jordan was before the promise land. Jordan must be crossed over from the wilderness to get to the promise land.. Things will happen to us and we must go through them, cross over the Jordan, to get to the promise land.

God will never make us do something that He won’t give us the power to do it. The Jordan is there for us to cross. We must not turn back but cross it at its peak flowing season. God will never give us something to do that we can handle on our own. We will need God do it and He will be glorified!

God gives us a new season but we must pass over our Jordan.God told Joshua to tell the 12 priests to go first over the Jordan river with
12 stones. The number 12 is the number of order. We must trust God and not what we see! God is a God of order! They had to get the 12 priests to step out in the Jordan. We may not understand it but we must do what God says. We may not see how we are going to make it but that’s okay. Its not our job to see it, just to trust God. Faith! That’s what we need to have.
God is telling us to step into the blessing, step out of our comfort zone and step into the Jordan! And after the priests stepped into the Jordan river, it dried up!

God wants some of us to step into our next level and bad credit won’t matter. When we step into it, God has something greater than ourselves. As soon as the 12 priests stepped into Jordan, the water stopped flowing. They walked on dry ground. Not on muddy ground but dry ground!! God already had it planned and all they had to do was to step into their place of destiny. God told them they had to fight and attack Jericho city. God told them they were to march around the city six times, six days but on the seventh day they were to march and then shout!

SHOUT!!
SHOUT with the voice of Triumph!!
SHOUT with the voice of Praise!!
SHOUT with the voice of Victory!!
SHOUT!!

Amen
