As I face the New Year of uncertain days,
I pray that God will lead in His ways.
This past year has already gone by,
And with it I ask some questions why?
Why did I not more on God's path stay?
Why did I not more of my burdens before God lay?
Why did I not more praises before God sing?
Why did I not more talents and gifts to Him bring?
Why did I not spend more time in prayer?
Why did I not trust Him more with His loving care?
Why did I so much worry and fear?
Why did I not call upon God to be near?
The answers to all this and more?
I did not allow God, into my heart, His grace pour?
So as I face another uncertain year,
His grace to me, I must hold dear.
