Joshua had just taken over from Moses and might be wondering what could be the strategy to manage such a huge mass of people and what is it that could lead him successfully towards his desired promised land.
God, Who knows our inner thoughts and Who always provides us what we need in the right time said this to Joshua...
"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success." Joshua 1:8 (NKJV)
Joshua kept God's Word and was faithful to God and to His Word and God did give him success in all he did.
God desires the same from us too, to learn the Word of God, let it abide in our heart and be prosperous.
The Psalmist wonderfully said this....
"You have commanded us
To keep Your precepts diligently.
Oh, that my ways were directed
To keep Your statutes!
Then I would not be ashamed,
When I look into all Your commandments." Ps. 119:4-6 (NKJV)
We will never regret, we will never have a reason to be ashamed of if we carefully observe the Word of the Lord in our life.
The Bible is a true treasure and a reason for our blessedness, let's explore it and be blessed, for all God's promises are for us if we know them and inherit them by faith through His Word.
