I went to bed dreaming
And I woke up in the past
Thought I had everything
And life was a blast
Full of parties
And pleasures of all kinds
Little did I know
Any peace of mind
Glory, fame and fortune
I thought would satisfy
Lost in a world
Where it was easy to cry
The past became present
And I woke with a shout
God’ plan changed my life
I can say without doubt
But glory be to God
For my sin, His son died
