In your life on This Earth, you need money. Although not all needs require money, you need money to meet several of your needs. So, it is important to have sufficient cash permanently so that you cannot have trouble meeting the needs that require money.
All things stand on the spiritual. It is why you should first prepare spiritually for you to make your own savings easily and successfully. Spiritual preparation mostly involves prayer and fasting. On top of that, you have to observe some disciplines about sparing part of the finances you get. I mean you need to sacrifice. Another thing to do is to limit your expenses to the priorities. Spend most on the priorities. (Note that you needn’t tell everybody that you are making some savings.)
In fact, it is a good idea to have 3 savings: one for casual needs (which you call ‘pocket money’), another saving for short-term projects and another one for long-term projects.
