Losing a Daughter, and gaining a Son
Married on the 25th of August 2007, joined as one
Marriage can be forever, while yet on this earth
With hearts full of love, predestined before birth
Vows to be exchanged and taken seriously
The things of this world should remain a mystery
Out of the abundance of the heart, words will seep
Never to divorce, both of you to keep
Despite good times and bad, trials to be had
None take an easy road, but the committed stay glad
A journey well traveled, you must keep pace
And when all is over, you can say you ran a good race
Together, you’ll make decisions in love
Keep putting God first and push will never come to shove
Never let the sun go down on your wrath
Keep peace, not grudges, and then do the math
Temptations will be great but never give in
Strongholds in your mind and heart
Must be broken to win
You can do all things through Christ
The author and finisher of our faith
Your future can be certain beyond the bird seed or the rice
As a Christian, you are covered by grace
