It’s Friday and Payday, I need to know the amount A check for my daughter, so she can have clout
We’re very proud of her, of herself she cares
Not about money, but how it goes and where
The oldest son of whom he bares my name
Last I saw him, he appeared to be the same
His thoughts and actions mimic mine
Didn’t see it before, they grew over time
Our youngest son, awards are not few
He’s very talented and responds without cue
Physically mature, emotions appear in check
Yet when he gives up, I say what the heck?
Free will our choice, decisions to make
You can’t have both, ice cream and cake
Pray without ceasing, for their souls
Our personal journey, heavens the goal
Life certainly takes its twist’s and turns
Take the wrong road and you’ll surely burn
