Dear daddy, where are you
I haven't seen you in a long time
You tell me that you're coming to get me
But you don't show up.
But uncle Ty picks me up every weekend
He takes me to the movies
And we play tic tac toe
He even lets me win
Dear daddy
I Tell my friends about the fun things that we do
But we really don't
I tell my friends lies,
Pretending that my dad shows up like their dad does
It makes me sad
But my grandpa picks me up from school
And takes me to the zoo
And to get some ice cream
He even showed me a secret handshake
Dear daddy
Sometimes when im by myself
I get mad
And I cry
I want my daddy too
Why aren't you here
I still get sad sometimes
But I will be just fine
Because
Mommy hugs me and she tells me
That I am a wonderful child
She gives me hugs and kisses
She makes me smile
She tells me just how much she loves me
She thanks God for me
And she says I am fearfully and wonderfully made
She says that means I'm special
And that she is blessed to have a kid like me
There are still things that I wish to have
Like my daddy here with me
But there are also so many good things in my life
Like mommy's hugs
And trips to the zoo
And ice cream sundaes
Grandpa's visits too
Secret handshakes
Seeing uncle Ty
Playing with My bestest friends
My dog Aiko licking my face
And
Sleepovers with my cousins
So when I get sad
I start to think about
The many many people that love me
And the
Things that make me laugh
And laugh
And laugh some more.
THE END
