BUT THE SPLENDOR
The quiet morning
The lake
And the sun
Foamy white water
Rhythmically washing sand
Puffy white clouds
Resting on fluid horizon
Seagulls
Fluttering above rocky divide
Singular gull flapping
Silver wings sparkling
Twinkling against marshmallow sky
And I worship You
How could I not
Dirty city streets
Yes, You are there
Crime ridden capitals
Can You be found
But the splendor
Of your creation
Untouched by man
Is a glimpse of heaven awaiting
Jesus the Savior
Died so we can
